PRAGNUM AT THE ENERGY OF FREEDOM FORUM: DEEPENING OUR INDUSTRY EXPERTISE
Friday, 18 September 2026
Working with energy sector companies, the PRAGNUM team closely follows developments that shape their business models, investment decisions and legal risks.
On 17 September, PRAGNUM Managing Partner Vitaly Bobrynev and Partner Oleksii Nekrasov attended the “Energy of Freedom: Resilience and New Opportunities in Ukraine’s Energy Storage Market” forum, organised by Energy Club in Kyiv.
Particular attention was given to combining solar generation with battery energy storage systems (BESS) – a topic of direct relevance to our clients operating in this segment. Discussions covered project economics, financing opportunities and the legal framework for implementation.
Just a few years ago, many viewed energy storage primarily as a way to get through power outages. Today, BESS is gradually emerging as a distinct area of energy business and investment, said Oleksii Nekrasov. It was valuable to hear first-hand from those already delivering these projects in Ukraine.
To be a trusted adviser to an energy business, you need to understand how it operates – from its technologies to its revenue streams. This enables us to assess risks more accurately and provide legal solutions aligned with our clients’ commercial objectives, commented Vitaly Bobrynev.
We thank Energy Club for bringing market participants, investors and the legal community together for a substantive discussion.
