Dmytro Zhukov Speaks on Periods of Limitation at International Judicial and Legal Forum 2015

On 20 March 2015, Dmytro Zhukov, the Partner at Pragnum Law Firm, took part in the two-day international judicial and legal forum that had been attended by everyone related to the litigation for three years in a row: judges, practising lawyers, representatives of non-government and international organizations. The event had been organised by the editorial office of Yuridicheskaya Praktika newspaper jointly with the Supreme Court of Ukraine, EU Project “Support to Justice Sector Reforms in Ukraine” and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

This year, there was a special focus on the judicial reform in Ukraine and bringing such changes into compliance with international standards. The list of speakers included the team leader of the EU Project “Support to Justice Sector Reforms in Ukraine”, the advocate general of the Court of Justice of the European Union, judges from Lithuania, Poland, Finland, representatives of the Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine, the Presidential Administration of Ukraine, and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

The second day was divided into three sessions: criminal proceedings, international arbitration, civil and economic proceedings. Dmytro Zhukov spoke at the civil and economic proceedings session on the theme “Periods of Limitation of Actions, Their Procedural Application and Tax Consequences of Expiration Thereof”.
